Harvest Festival: our local produce in the Public Markets!

Abundance is back at Montreal's Public Markets! To celebrate, head to your favorite public market for a weekend full of activities and entertainment for Harvest Festival .

The Atwater, Jean-Talon, Maisonneuve markets, as well as the Neighborhood and Solidarity Markets await you!

On September 7 and 8, come celebrate Harvest Festival at the Montreal Public Markets with your family and friends! The event is organized by the Société des Marchés publics de Montréal, a non-profit organization , recognized for its expertise in social economy , planning and development and management of public markets.

Its six Neighborhood Markets and three Solidarity Markets attract more than 3 million visitors each year, facilitating access to fresh, local produce while supporting the region's agri-food producers and artisans!

The corn roast will also be making a grand return to the Atwater Market and the Jean-Talon Market! The first 600 people to arrive each day at each market will receive a free corn shuck. Don't miss this delicious opportunity to enjoy freshly shucked corn in a friendly atmosphere!

Harvest Festival at the Jean-Talon Market

It is in the event area to the northwest of the market that a refreshment bar offering local wines, beers and ciders will take place!

On Saturday, you'll enjoy live music by the Montreal Bluegrass Duo and DJ Mathieu Beauchemin, as well as face painting for children and inflatable games. On Sunday, free workshops on microgreens and gardening will be offered.

The Jean-Talon Market will also host “À qui la meilleure sauce,” where visitors can taste the best tomato sauces in Little Italy, with a winner announced by a jury.

Harvest Festival at Atwater Market

The celebrations will take place in the event area at the front of the Atwater Market , with a refreshment bar offering local wines, beers and ciders!

On Saturday, free cooking workshops will be hosted by Fleurs et Feuilles gourmandes, Au Septième Micro-pousse, and C'est moi le Chef! for children. On Sunday, Montréal Bluegrass Duo and DJ Mathieu Beauchemin will provide music, accompanied by face painting and inflatable games.

Harvest Festival at Maisonneuve Market

It promises to be a festive time at the Maisonneuve Market with a large corn roast on Saturday, presented by Les Jardins Dauphinais. The first 200 people will receive a free ear of corn! Singer Alexandre Légaré will also be performing at the market throughout the weekend.

When: Corn roast Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and songbook Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Harvest Festival at the Frontenac Solidarity Market

Come enjoy a 100% free, vegan tasting of Mi Corazon foods, a Montreal-based company that stands out in the street food and restaurant sector. A special opportunity to taste their original cuisine, inspired by their chef's Mexican roots, right in the heart of the Marché Solidaire Frontenac .

Harvest Festival at the Ahuntsic-Cartierville Solidarity Market

It will be time to participate in an extraordinary culinary workshop on Saturday, September 7 at the Marché Solidaire Ahuntsic-Cartierville .

When: Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Harvest Festival at the Place Jacques-Cartier Neighborhood Market

The Marché de Quartier Place Jacques-Cartier will offer a tasting of garlic, garlic scapes, black garlic, and spices, as well as a demonstration of garlic scape pesto. All products are organic and Ecocert certified, sourced from Les Frères d'ail 's own production.
