Laura Chipello

Thanks to her teenage summers working at the Jean-Talon Market and two years working in a neighborhood artisan butcher-deli, Laura quickly became aware of the importance of consuming local Quebec foods. This direct contact with farmers and processors sowed in her a passion for locavorism. After studying Cinema & Communications and a BAC in Anthropology, she now uses her words and uses her creativity to write and produce entertaining and educational media content to highlight innovative projects and inspiring people from around the world. the Quebec agri-food universe.

Camille Cloutier

Professionnelle chevronnée dans les secteurs de la restauration et du tourisme, elle a développé une expertise solide et diversifiée lors de son parcours à l’Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec. Camille a été reconnue par l’Association québécoise de la formation en restauration, tourisme et hôtellerie (AQFORTH) pour son engagement et a remporté le Grand Prix de l’Excellence lors de la 17e édition des Grands Prix de la Relève, illustrant son leadership et son dévouement exemplaires. Elle joue également un rôle actif en matière de transition écologique en tant que représentante du comité communication pour l’OBNL La Vague. Camille incarne la vision moderne d’une entrepreneure passionnée, innovante et résolument engagée dans la promotion d’une hospitalité de qualité et d’une gestion durable.

Alyssa Martone Martel

A graduate in dietetics from McGill University and trained at HEC Montreal, she launched her entrepreneurial journey in 2018, creating culinary workshops in Montreal and China to combat the lack of food literacy among children. Founder of Traktour in 2021, she reconnects people with the origins of their food via agrotourism excursions in Quebec. Today, under Origine, she combines her passions for responsible food, decadent local products and the stories of the people who nourish us.

Safia Barrou

Passionate about agriculture and good food, Safia began her journey by creating La Grappe, a collective of marketing experts specializing in the agri-food industry in 2018. She then created the web magazine Élevage et Cultures, which contributes to raising consumer awareness and Quebec producers on the challenges of agriculture today and tomorrow. She is also taking on the challenge of getting her hands on the land by taking over the Au Gîte des Oies farm in 2022. Today, she is consolidating her activities into a vector to promote the local terroir: Origine.

Creation of Élevage et Cultures

In 2020, Élevage & Cultures was born: the first 100% Quebec agricultural web magazine which presents the faces, innovations and current trends that are shaping the agriculture of tomorrow. Through articles, a podcast and web series, Élevage et Cultures has been able to raise awareness among Quebec consumers and producers about the issues facing local agriculture.

Origin History

Creation of Traktour

Traktour began its activities in 2021 with the mission of reconnecting Quebec consumers with producers and the local region via agrotourism excursions. Until 2023, Traktour will organize a multitude of excursions across Montérégie, the Eastern Townships and Montreal in order to establish itself as the reference in terms of agrotourism excursions in the region.

Having a common mission and complementary activities, Élevage et Cultures and Traktour are finally uniting to be reborn under the Origine banner in 2024.

By pooling their strengths, the co-founders of Origin hope to reconnect even more Quebecers with the origins of their food, by offering them unforgettable agrotourism experiences , a boutique of local gourmet products as well as content entertaining to discover the work of our artisans and farmers.

Alone we go fast, but together we go further!
