Feeding the city: Discover the D-Trois-Pierres organization

Nourrir la ville: Découvrez l’organisme D-Trois-Pierres

D-Trois-Pierres is a non-profit organization working in the field of socio-professional integration and the social economy. They operate the lands of the Cap-Saint-Jacques ecological farm and the Bois-de-la-Roche agricultural park. Their main objective is to offer professional and personal training programs to people who are far from the labor market to help them find employment.

Two types of paths are available depending on participants' interests, allowing them to gain experience and new skills while being paid. For more information on eligibility criteria, visit their website .

Thanks to the program's participants and skilled employees, D-Trois-Pierres has been producing dozens of varieties of certified organic vegetables using environmentally friendly farming practices since 1986. They also launched a project in 2015 called Cultiver l'Espoir in partnership with Regroupement Partage, which harvests between 150 and 200 tons of vegetables for distribution to vulnerable families in Montreal neighborhoods with the highest poverty rates.

D-Trois-Pierres is a beautiful spot on the shores of Lac des Deux-Montagnes, accessible to all and offering numerous activities and services throughout the year. In spring, you can find the famous Cabane à sucre du Cap Saint-Jacques there for an authentic experience without leaving the island! The rest of the year, it's the perfect spot for a picnic overlooking the lake or an impromptu stop during a cross-country skiing excursion. Take the opportunity to visit the general store and buy locally processed products or fresh vegetables during the harvest season.

It's also possible to rent one of the rooms at the Thomas-Brunet House, a fully renovated heritage home, for a corporate event or wedding. Perfect for enjoying the bucolic setting without leaving the city.
