Recipe - Chef Christian's Homemade Meat Lasagna
Ingredients
- 16 lasagna noodles
- 1 package of salami
- 1 package of pepperoni
- 1 liter (4 cups) of Chef Christian's meat sauce
- Grated mozzarella cheese or other firm cheese for gratin
Preparation
- On the stovetop over high heat, bring a large pot of water to a boil. When the water boils, add the 16 lasagna noodles and make sure they don't stick. Remove the pasta when it reaches al dente.
- Drain the pasta and spread it on clean tea towels to cool.
- Take a large rectangular baking dish and spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.
- Create a layer of lasagna noodles at the bottom of the dish and cover with another thin layer of sauce.
- Add the salami slices.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over the surface, being careful not to cover it completely
- Add another layer of pasta, then add another thin layer of meat sauce.
- Spread the pepperoni over the surface. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the next 2 layers.
- Cover with a final layer of pasta. Spread the sauce on top and cover with a generous layer of grated cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking, remove the aluminum foil and set the oven to "Broil" to brown the cheese on the surface. Keep an eye on the cheese to avoid burning it.
- Cut into portions according to your guests' appetites!
